Life here is simple and good! We enjoy four seasons of recreational activities due to our beautiful lakes, rushing rivers, abundant wildlife and unpolluted forests. And our county, unlike most of Michigan’s lower peninsula, still has ample room for it’s people to put down roots and grow!

Board of Commissioners
Oscoda County Board of Commissioners will hold its 2023 Regular Board of Commissioners Meetings at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise posted.
The B.O.C Meetings are open to the public, but encourages the public to join them by teleconference by dialing 989-826-1163 (Pin#353).
Do you have a need but aren’t sure how or where to get help? A new telephone based information service is now available to residents of Oscoda County and it’s called 211. Simply dialing 211 from any touch tone phone will put you in touch with a referral specialist who can help you find community resources to meet your needs. The Board of Commissioners wants the public to be aware of two online tools that can help anyone to evaluate the financial status of our County: The “Municipal Performance Dashboard” and “Municipal Financial Summary”.
